Therapeutic Schooling provides children with the expert relationship they need to overcome specific difficulties in school. Specialists in counselling, speech and language, nurture and behaviour work with children over a period of time bespoke to their individual needs to reduce anxiety and replace harmful behaviours with positive and productive behaviours. This leads to reducing inner turmoil in the child and supporting both the school and child to make education more accessible.
What guides us
One of the key difficulties facing schools is financial and staffing constraints which then affects flexibility within schools. Through numerous working parties with fellow senior leaders the finding predominantly stated schools were unable to commit to employing wellbeing staff due to reduced budgets and where they were needed it included a variety of support that one person could not reasonably satisfy.
What we currently do
Currently we work alongside schools, academies and colleges to place valued and skilled wellbeing practitioners throughout the North. Specialist counselors, family support, speech and language, nurture workers create bespoke packages containing different expertise, over varying lengths of time. We offer CBT, play therapy, talk for learning and numerous other wellbeing therapies which we will discuss in our initial meeting. We thoroughly commit ourselves to the child and staff ensuring flexibility to support the demands of school in a productive way.

All our staff undergo rigorous safeguarding checks and are level 1 safeguard trained as well as hold an enhanced dbs that will be shared.

We believe all children learn differently, and our mission is to provide inclusive, supportive learning for every student. We offer a wide range of services, from home-schooling to CBT therapy, to empower learners of all ages and abilities.
